Hi Chris, haven't seen you on the forum for awhile, hope everything is okay. Always looked forward to your SPORBUST updates and just about anything else that you put out here. Just wanted you to know that you're missed by at least one forum member.
 
I will second this post. He logged into the forum this morning, but has not made any posts for two weeks. I not only miss his seeing his great work, but the forum experience is not quite the same without his witticisms.
 
Actually, I heard his computer died a horrible death.....however, a replacement is coming soon.

It's always nice to have Trainz on a separate hard drive from the one that has windows on it........

It thought it was just some months ago you already had a hard drive failure?

Correct you are sir!

I had a primary hard drive failure...

This time the motherboard on my legacy (Pre-Dell) Alienware M17X-R1 gave up the ghost..... the connectors for the video cards warped and broke the video connections....

So I will repair that one later, right now I picked up a Alienware M17X-R3, I will transfer my Trainz drive and my 1Tb external with all my work and be up and running in a day or so....

EDIT: I only keep windows and a few aps on the primary hard drive in case a nasty virus kills it...... that way all my Trainz and other works will survive.

Everything is installed on the new machine and I'm running again.... SOOOOOO much to catch up on...

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
 
Well Chris, I'm glad to see you're back. Great work on the backups and setup. I have a Dell M17xR1 and it's a great machine, although it doesn't seem as spiffy as it was when I first got it. I've reinstalled the OS. Perhaps it's just me being spoiled by my desktop. :)

It's a great machine and hard to kill...... I am going to go ahead and repair the m17xr1 with a new motherboard... maybe a new case... I can use it a a second computer to run things like google earth on whilst I am working on trainz, or watch "Firefly" on it....

I have all on DVD's found in pawnshop.

Thanks for all the great tut's and locos.
I up-dated 3 SPORBUST ATSF 8-40b from the clean-up list.
No errors or warnings.
Some didn't think I did a good enough job.
Glad your back!
