help with trs 2004

I think the answer to this issue would be to setup a new user's Wiki or FAQ sticky.

Instead of having to answer the same-old-same-old lines all the time, we could simply refer the noob to the FAQ.

The contenst can be simple.

How do you drive a train?
Open up Surveyor
Put an engine down on the tracks
Save the session
Go into driver and drive the train.

Where is the train I just downloaded? I can't find it in Surveyor or Railyard.

You need to check for missing depedencies in CMP.

etc.

A little food for thought on this. I agree though that the younger generation is less thankful and more demanding of everything, and not just on how to use Trainz.

Good idea

Now this is a good idea and a lot more helpful and positive. Well done John.

Angela, true about free will and posting.:)

A sticky or two might work. Perhaps another listing links, I know the Classics site has one but not descriptions of what to find there and the TRS2004 links page is out of date. So I'm thinking one maintained by the community with short descriptions of what to find there including things like tutorials. Then when someone wants to know something like how to reskin, you tell them to see the links sticky, no long post to type or negative commentary.
I tried starting one that appears to have gotten a lot of views and some contributions but can only be found with Search and a streamlined more thorough perhaps divided into sections one should be available.

Perhaps I should also provide this link somewhere.
