Help with modifying mesh

Maybe I will get better help in here. Is it possible to modify an .im file to move a headlight slightly for example? I want to move a headlight on a steam locomotive down a bit so that it is more centered. It's a modified Ben Neal locomotive. Would I have to use software to modify the .im file?

I decided to not try to modify it because I can't figure out the programs. The headlight is fine where it is and I can paint the horns black. Jaden Penn did a mod of it on youtube and changed the headlight and made it more centered. So did the guy on Deviant Art. This is just for my own use because the original model came from a Chinese site and even if it is a mod of a Ben Neal loco I'm not sure who to ask for permission if I wanted to ever upload it with my reskins.

they are not that hard once you get the hang of them. take a look at my rs3m reskins on the dls to see how i did it
