I've gotten my share of those too. I've run into Classical composers in various music editions that would be classified as bargain bin singers today. Same deal... Now we know why they've never been heard of again after they expired.
Strangely enough I got hooked on Trainz when I bought TRS2006 from Staples for £10.00. I couldn't get it to work on my Laptop. I thought let's see if the help line mentioned on the software is any use. Well Zec replied and lo and behold it worked and I was really impressed with both the software and the help desk.
So I for one thinks that Trainz being sold in bargain buckets can be useful both to N3V and the user for if I had never visited Staples looking for ink cartridges I would never had realised that Trainz existed.
Hopefully it is working. I do like a happy ending!
However, it’s also nice if those who have been helped take the time and effort to say that it’s now OK, and even perhaps add a note of thanks.
It only takes around 30 seconds to do.
Maybe he/she might, in the future, have another problem than can be collectively solved.
However, to maximise the chances of a successful outcome, I'd also suggest that posting a thread with the heading Help now !!!! -_-followed by a rant isn’t the best approach!
