Help!! Need Help Creating New Scenery

My brain is fried. I have read, and tried to follow, the manual on creation of NEW Scenery content in CMP. Any simple instructions?

I want to create Tags/Labels with street names for my layout during the construction phase. I'm replicating the Chicago & Northwestern RR and need to name crossroads as I go. I thought about creating them as a scenery object. I'll probably use multiple files for each street 'cause I'm not smart enough to create editable files.

Can I create a label in a draw program and import to CMP? What format do they need to be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry Tom it's not quite that simple. You've got a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. For what you want I'd suggest searching the dls. There are some pin objects that you can place as markers for construction in surveyor. I think you can add a text label when placing them using the ? button though I'm not 100% sure about that.

there are also street signs available that when you add the text to them they it'll show up in the minimap ( [ctrl]+[M] in surveyor)

Have a look at my reskinable signs they may work, if the size is wrong no big deal just let me know what size you would like. Otherwise if you email me with an image of what you are after I maybe able to do something.

Hi Tom,

If you only need to mark locations temporarily and remove them later, I find "Warehouse Signs" from the DLS very useful. They come in various sizes and can be used to mark where you intend to place roads, buidlings or track. When you have finished they can be deleted. Have a look at 30671:23101 and view the pack from there.

Good Luck!
