help me pick a trainz game for my gpa

Hes much more interested in building custom layouts and such than driving missions ect. He has no expieriwnce with these games so I'm looking for best customization ease of use least glitches most trains.

So trains 12 or 10 engineer deluxe?

Probably TS12 would be a better option. TS2010's main benefit is that it has more routes. Since that won't be a priority for him, the improvements of TS12 would probably work better for him.
