HELP ive had a a memory problem, mine not computer.

ive somehow switched the red/green indicators on the 'switches' OFF and cant remember how i did it.. i am getting on a lot, so any help will much appriciated.🥴

Thanks john. the problem has changed, your fix wont work as ive just discoverd its only happening on this layout im working on. all other layout seem ok.

Its silent farts that are most ilusive.😉

the problem has become clearer. the colored arrows are visible when you zoom out and the tracks turn blue, but are very minute. As you zoom in
the arrows fade out with the blue track. this makes it dificult to switch direction whem trains are running. 😰🥸

ive spent the last 18 months on this layout and i would hate to start again. 😩😪

yes. as i mentioned the arrows are there but only when zoomed out so the tracks are blue and extreamly small as to be almost invisable

Oh heavens, don't delete your route. We should eventually figure this out.

This is just happening in surveyor? Do the arrows show in driver mode?

In 19, ctrl-h only seems to work in driver. Alt-j shows and hides the turnout arrows in the map mode (which is what you're using when you zoom out and are seeing blue lines).

I continued snooping around in the program after writing the above paragraphs and I believe I discovered your problem.

Click on the hamburger icon in the upper left of surveyor's screen. It's apparently called the "system menu".
Click on "settings".
Select "interface settings"
On the right half of the dialog make certain "limit contextual information" is not selected.

I believe that is what is causing your problem. We never mess with that setting so we weren't thinking of it.

having checked the settings and it is not not selected.
i tried switching it on and off but makes no difference.

ive tried the setting on a working route and the setting indeed work as you say, but has no effect on my 'lame' route

which is the best way ; merge new route into problem route or merge problem route into new route ?

sorry stagecoach didnt work 😪

ive put in a ticket to see what N3v comes up with. ( ive asked them look at this page so they know whats been tried)

also merged new route into old route, other way all boards had no track on.

It's interesting and unfortunate that this one route is behaving differently than your other routes.

Is it write-protected somehow? I guess that's not likely if it lets you merge it.

Does content manager show you as the creator?

I'm stumped. But there's still hope. I'm sorry that this must be very frustrating for you.

Definitely load the new baseboard first and merge the old route into it. You want the old route to adopt the settings of the new one.

In surveyor, can you see the physical turnout mechanism at the turnout? Or is that invisible as well?

My next idea would be to try the bulk asset replacement tool on another copy of the route. Will it let you replace the current asset with a different switch lever or turnout mechanism?

If the bulk asset replacement tool doesn't see what asset is there now, it won't work.

Another idea: go into content manager and look up the kuid of the turnout asset that is supposed to be in the route. Then open a copy of the route for editing and confirm that that kuid is in the config file. You might also check the build number of the asset. I can't imagine that the build number might be too high for your version of Trainz, but I'm just trying to find someting that causes this route to be different than your others.

Another unlikely thought:
Have you recently changed the access level of your copy of Trainz? Have you downgraded from Trainz Plus to a regular Trainz account? That could possibly make an asset dissapear.

Ouch! By everything else are you saying the textures on the ground or every object on the route?
What on earth could be causing that to happen?
