I have downloaded Port Loketa for TANe but two asset have simmilar errors.

1.- VE48: This asset uses an obsolete trainz-built number. Trainz bult number below 3.5 are not longer supported; is it possible to modify such number? How?
2.- VE82: Hight detail .im files aer not supported..... (update .im file to .ml file. how can I upgrade them?
3.- VE62 ......thumbnail is missing: How can I create a thumbnail and how to include in the asset folder?
4.- VE39 .....texture is a uniform colour: How can I fix it?

Even they are only warning errors they do not appear in the route,

It is not advisable to try to fix the build number warning unless you are prepared to deal with the additional errors that will be created. Thumbnails and textures can be easily repaired - the mesh warning is more complex. But these warnings are not associated with the failure to see the asset in the route. You should indicate which assets are failing to display.

Thank you.

The problem was in the Ship Enging config (Barge asset) I have removed it and downloaded again ad it is fixed.

The link you gave me is very usefull, SailorDan, I will studiy it

Here is the way to fix it:

1.go to content manger and open the faulty addons
2. Go to the editing folder in the trainz folder (name of folder may very)
3. Look for the addons name (it should be a folder) and open the txt file and look for "trainz build" and change the numbers to the right of it to the one you want.

That is not the proper way to repair this asset.

Lowering the build number will cause warnings and some errors, to be ignored, however, if the Trainz version is increased. Let's say a service pack comes out, this can cause those so-called repairs to no longer work because the older assets will be validated differently.

The way to repair a thumbnail is to create a jpg. and refer to the .jpg at 240 x 180 resolution in the config.txt file. The how-to is posted in the Wiki as SailorDan has posted above. The simpler way is to copy the thumbnails container from a working asset and use that as a reference.

If you have been lowering the build-numbers to "fix" assets, this will only work to a certain point. Even with the lower build-number in the asset, the asset will fail because those other things are in the asset that may not be valid at that lower build-number.

I'm telling you this with experience. I've been repairing and testing assets for over 12 years, having used Trainz since 2003, and I have repaired 100's of thousands of assets. My current Trainz install (T:ANE) has zero faulty assets and I imported over 178,000 assets from TS12, of which 7800 were faulty and needed updating.
