HELP DESK - NO RESPONSE

I posted a question to the help desk on the 12th June and not even received the courtesy of a response to say "working on it will advise". Any ideas how long it normally takes for the Auran help desk to respond?

These days it can take quite a long time as Auran are, by all accounts, short staffed. Is it not something that people on this forum can give assistance on? Some people are veritable mines of information.

Hello Andy, many thanks for responding. Basically it is a CMP problem. I have been using Trainz2006 successfully for a long time now but only as and when time permits and within a fairly limited route/session environment. However, recently I had to re-install "everything" from a Norton Ghost backup due to a Raid failure. Unfortunately, after the restore CMP did not work at all but having followed the advice within various posts on this forum (i) I at least now have access to most of my previous "locally" stored content and (ii) my CMP is obviously communicating with Auran because it recognises my 1st class ticket and I am not being asked to re-register. The trouble is I want to see what new routes/content has been added to the download station since I last had anything to do with it but CMP does not seem to "see" anything. The download station tab remains "empty". In addition, the last time I had anything to do with DLS was back in 2006 and so I am thinking there must be new content and/or updates available for my old content. Yet I am being offered nothing, nada, zilch. In addition and as a test, I deleted something from my local content but I am not even being offered the item for download again and I now have a missing dependancy. To be fair, I have no idea whether this was an issue with my old installtion for as I say I have been using TRS2006 in a pretty limited way (although to my satifaction) for a while now. So any other suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

The number of days left has no relation to the connection to the DLS.

I suggest going the the DLS web site then clicking on something that says download (helper) and see if CMP picks it up.

Also look at File, settings (ALTF7) and check the internet settings.

My experience with tools such as Norton Ghost backup is that sometimes it doesn't quite get all the links and associated files so one way might be to reinstall TRS2006 with SP1 after backing up the content so you can drop it back afterwards.
