Height Adjustment Tool

In TRS 2010 ,I have noticed that the tool increases and decreases object height in increments of 1 meter. Yet in in TRS 2006, the increments were less,( I think decimetres or tenths of a metre) If so and correct me if I am wrong, is this not a retrograde step. For example I prefer to raise or lower buildings to suit the sidewalk rather as it is a lot less cumbersome than raising or lowering the actual road. Any comments?

If you use CTRL+LMB it will change the height by 0.1m and SHIFT+LMB will change the height by 0.05m, if the object can have its height changed.

Thanks for your assistance MartinVk. It certainly is valuable information. The increments of 0.05m is something I did not have in TRS 2006. Where do you find such info? I looked in the manual for TRS 2010 , but there is not that sort of detailed help.
