I have the Trainz 2009 newly loaded on my Phenom x4 955 the same computer that I reported my testing on with the Evga GTX295 Video card. What is happening is that I loaded up an old large map from The Trainz 2006 and all of the content is there and working great but when I go to do any work in that map like add more roads or scenery, when I go to (save as) and choose the original name of this map ait gives me an error that says Illegal Instructions and fails to save my work.
The other smaller maps are ok and save with no problems. I have checked the content in the Manager and all seems to be ok. I also deleted all the missing content jsut to make sure. Does anyone maybe know what could be happening, a new install fo TRS2009 on a clean Install of XP Pro Sp2 and most of all the latest drivers for all the hardware. Thanks in advance for help possible.
I also forgot to ask is it ok to update trainz 2009 from the original release 37625 to 38599 without the Sp1? That is what I did and all seems to work. 38599 fixed the Alpha problems of objects disappearing behind things. It also repaired the nighttime lighting and now it works correctly also, and no Cmp crashing.
