Have you ever seen this?

I'm running a session in 2010 and one of my locos won't follow the directions I give it. Checked the switches, signals and saw this farther up the line. This was my third time running this session and the first two were fine.

I also noticed that the containers on the wellcars change colors when I switch from one consist to another. My video card is a NVidia 460 with 768 memory. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

hi,
it looks to me that the two trackparts are not correctly linked to eachother.
do you have one or two white(yellow when elevated)circles where this problem occures?

it should look like the lower one

Thanks for the quick response. I had already thought of that so I went into surveyor to check the track and everything is as it should be. This has occured before when I have opened a session more than two times. As far as I know everything is up-to-date on my computer so I'm baffled as to what is going on.

If your track looks like that, then it is not as it should be. A train will not pass track with a join like that. I suggest you delete and re-lay the track in the immediate area.

The link you gave us is infected with AV8 (Antivirus 8).

I was able to kill it before it installed completely, so my machine is clean.

RE: the broken track:

I've never seen that before and have been racking my brains to come up with a solution.

RE: The object colors turning black or other colors.
This is an issue with 4xx series NVIDIA cards and Texture compression in CM3.x. You need to disable the Texture Compression option in CM, and re-commit those assets again.

Comes from using ImageShack. Every Virus I've ever got, I got from ImageShack. My advice--- Use PhotoBucket.

I have been hearing quite alot about some brand new virus's that are totally disruptive to an OS. Sometimes I wonder whether Norton is enough protection ... free antivirus programs are sometimes not effctive at all, while others like Avast won't let any webpages in, as everything is a threat, and automaticly deletes programs.

Ha! My experiences are the reverse as your's.... Norton treats EVERYTHING as a Virus---- while Avast keeps my computer clean as a whistle.

This has become an issue for many websites lately. The virus will masque it self as an application. It's picked up by a java script that is placed on the server, and fed by a bot that gets downloaded by some other dropper or Trojan.

Once the bot is in place, it contacts the infected website, and downloads the malware to the machine.

Since these viruses look like legit applications to the antivirus program that's installed, the program is allowed to install its self and infect the system. By running an outside antivirus program, such as Malware Bytes, AVG, Vipre PCRepair, etc. The program will detect the malware and usually fix the problem.

These are very frustrating to deal with, and I've seen everything so far from the fake av to fake hard disk repair tool. The frustration stems from the total waste of time that these things cause.
