Have an issue with Trainz classics

Hi guys I have a problem I have recently installed Trainz classics on a new Lap top that uses Windows Vista and it will not work properly. The color on the trains is wrong and it always crashes after 2 minutes? Also it caused the blue screen of death to appear on one occasion. I have a up to date laptop so im lost any ideas would be welcome.

Run it as Administrator every time you run it. I had a problem with TS2010, so I ran the program as Admin, and it works perfectly.

Are you running Trainz using Open GL or DirectX?

In options/display settings (in newer versions; I can't remember in TC where it is), whichever you are using, try the other one. See if that solves the problem.

What kind of machine do you have, and what video chip is it running. I hope it's not an Intel Graphics Pro for your sake because most games and programs do not support that as a valid graphics chip for real accelerated 3d operation.
