Has anyone seen this happen (blurred consists)?

Trainz PC, iPad and Mac
When adding a consist or rolling stock it starts out unblurred (first image) then when I go into Drive Mode and move the consist, rolling stock randomly blurs (not always the same car) (second image).

Some rolling stock are not affected, for example the locomotive by bdaneal. Randomly adding rolling stock from different creators results in some blurring and other not. I have changed just about every setting I can think of, even rebuilt the database but to no avail.

I am using Trainz version 128490, the current mac version of Trainz 22, with Mac OS Sequoia.

I've been tearing my hair out over this one!

This is a bug that has been reported to N3V and they are working on a fix for it. It has something to do with the Apple drivers.

Wow.

Where did you see this John? My searches of the forum hasn’t come up with any recently expressed concerns.

So, what are the limitations?

One can’t run Trainz on a Mac? One can’t run Trainz 22 of a Mac? One can’t run Trainz on Mac OS Sequoia?

I recently upgraded to Sequoia so I would put my money on an incompatibility with that operating system. Problem is, once one has upgraded it is almost impossible to go back to an earlier operating system.

My HD (high definition) route is not portable over to my PC so that option is out. It goes all wonky. Problens with heights missing textures that are packed somewhere. Maybe this engineer has come to the end of track!

Thanks John. You have been very helpful in explaining the issue.

I am running Trainz 222 SP 5 on a Mac Studio with the Apple M1 Ultra chip and 64 GB of RAM so would think memory is not the issue, particularly when I have closed just about everything I can and, as the pictures show, run a route with track on a single baseboard and little else.

It has only been a month since SP5 came out and the issue reported so guess I will have to be patient. Looking forward to SP 6 with a fix.
