I don't know of any for Trainz, then again, I only assume that they're British multiple unit MUs.If so can i have the download link please?
Also how do i make a class 313 template in paint shed?
Of course you can, just not with PaintShed (the Search button is your friend!).Ok so i can't just re-skin a class 508 into a 313?
Unless you buy a FCT, your only way round this is to reskin using a graphics manipulation program. I would recommend GIMP or Paint.NET, both of which are free, fairly easy to use and can produce great results. If you start using one of these programs, that will basically give you the chance to reskin almost anything you like. The important thing to remember though, is always clone the item you want to reskin and use that, not the original. Helps if things go awry!!!
If you do a search for 'How to Reskin', you will find plenty of advice and links to tutorials on how to do so.
Ahaaa. I think the problem may be when you saved. Did you uncheck the RLS compression box in the save window? You need to do this or it won't work.
Whats that?
I can't give you a screenshot right now as I'm not at my own PC but, once you've made changes to a .tga file (or sometimes .bmp) for your reskin, you need to make sure you use 'save as' and also ensure that the file extension is the same as the original.
Select the original file you started with and you need to save over it. When you click ok, you should get another pop up which should have a check box with 'RLS Compression' next to it. There will be a tick in the box which you need to click to remove. Once done, press ok again and that should then overwrite the original texture file and show up properly in Trainz (remebering to commit your reskin of course).
