Harlem line question

Subways and railroads
i have another question about the sessions in the Harlem line and the stations in the route. why is it that, when i set my train to go somewhere it only stops at the part where the train is first coming in at and by that i mean it doesn't even go all the way in the station. why is it that i see other trains stopping at the front of their stops the right way but i can't do mines like that instead i have to drive it all the way to the front myself?

The reason for this is that loading or unloading commodities is a two step operation. First you give the destination and then you need to tell the AI to either load or unload there. For passengers you only need to give one of the two commands, so destination - load is sufficient.

AI= Artificial Intelligence. It's the easiest way to say action controlled by the computer and not manually. As far as the train not going all of the way into the station, I experience this a lot on routes I download. Simplest fix for me is to switch out the default station and replace with AJS station, the trains act normally with these. If someone could elaborate on the KUID it should help you more. I'm still learning the ropes myself, just ventured into Transdem.

Just one question, why has some dumb construction company built a house on the line and managed to errect it inbetween commuter services (I assume I'm not the only one with this prob). Is there any way of editing the origional route (without saving another Harlem line). I tried to edit and save but will never save over the route so I could use the sessions on it but it always saves as a new route.

Cheers all

:)

Sorry to hyjack your thread lol

Andy.
In either Classics or later.
Make changes including the house but could include others, save new route.
Go to CMP/CM, find original and new routes, Open both for Edit.
Copy all non-config files from new route to original, overwriting existing files.
Make a copy Config file of new route, change the KUID # to that of the original route, copy this file overwriting the config in the orginal route folder.
Commit Original with changes, delete new route.
Back in Trainz, original route should now be your modified version.
If it fails at any point, use Revert to Original on original route and either start over or quit until another time.

Thanks StorkNest, it's quite annoying ploughing through somone's living room every time I play a session. Gotta feel sorry for the infabitants tho imagine the insurance premium :hehe:
