"Hardware access Violation"

I have been using Trainz 2004 for a while now without a problem. However, recently I have been getting a fatal error message, seemingly at random. It says the Error is recoverable, but every time Trainz stops working afterwards. here is the error in the jetlog:

I am running Windows Vista, but have managed to set up the Compatibility mode to Windows XP (SP2).

Processor: AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core Processor 2.20GHz
RAM: 4GB
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS
Hard Drive: 309 GB free out of 456 GB

I just did a quick forum "SEARCH" for "access violation". and came up with the quote below. If that doesn't help, SEARCH further.

try rebuilding the asset database.

In your TRS2006 folder delete the assets.tds and assets.bku files then try launching TRS. if TRS starts to launch it will take it a while (especially if you have alot oc custom content) because it has to rebuild the database. So go make a sandwich or something while its doing that. Oh and it might appear to be frozen; it isn't

Thats what I had to do to mine to get it to work. Deleted both files and started Trainz 2006. Went out for a pizza and when I returned, no problems!:udrool::mop:
