guess the LOCO game...

In an unneccessary side note, that is the same GP30 that is now preserved in the Colorado Railroad Museum.

It is a: EMD SDP40-2XR.
It was a: EMD SDP40 (Formerly BN 6395, she was built as GN 321 (SDP40)).
It is owned by: MRL (Montana Rail Link).
It was owned by: BN (Burlington Northern).
It was built in: 5/1966.

Well, you are correct.

Thank you. Very nice photo and great locomotive pick. I love the original SDP40s. Anyhow, I have 2 days to post a pic. I guess I will just post one now.

To make things a bit more interesting, I have edited out all numbering so that it is pure knowledge of certain locomotive aspects; bogeys, axle count, porch size, and such because anyone can google, I.E; "NS #9264" and look at a roster and discover that "NS #9264" is a GE C40-9W. Too easy lol.

However, I will allow each individual that guesses ONE and ONLY ONE hint upon asking for a hint. Each individual may guess more than once, but each individual will only be alotted one hint. Make sure to read precious posts as each hint given will be different. So, it may be wise to read ALL hints given to piece together the puzzle.

I want the Builder, Locomotive Name, Month & Year she was built, Railroad (COMPLETE BUSINESS NAME PLEASE).

Have fun and very good luck. I think you will be calling your nearest Locomotive expert on the phone for this one.

Two Hints To Get You Started: The designated railroad only has one of these. Also, the Builder is not EMD.

Good Luck!

Here she is.

Yes, I knew that without google. It's one of the few good-looking gensets out there.

I know it isn't two days but I'm so excited that I just had to post this picture!

Well, all guesses for this picture don't count though because you did not win. Simulatortrain has the floor. Sorry, man. If he does not post a new picture in 2 days or he passes, all you gotta do is call dibs. I must say though, that is a very interesting locomotive there.

It's Holman's Absurdity, 2 were built.
How did they keep the drivers from slipping off?

And Toren:
That's Potlatch Lumber Company's #92, a 3-truck Heisler built in 1924.
