In all honesty, I am unsure if I have posted this before. I do not think so. I am sorry if I have, I try to use pictures I have taken.

What I need...
Original Railroad. Wheel arangment. Class (Not the entire, as it is pretty long, just basicly what class of X-X-X is it?)

Hints, as this is not a well known Locomotive.
It is here in North Texas. It actualy is running on a subsideary trakege of the railroad it once belonged to.
It is not Texas State Railway!!!!!!! Although it did used to be there.

Original railroad: Employment central
Current railroad: Retirement Pacific
Wheel arrangement: 0-2-0
Class: Old Man

Protip: If we have to guess a locomotive, at least make it so that we can see the locomotive, rather than a blurry image of a steamer that is way down the line.

Ok, I know, not the greastist picture.
Picture has changed to another one.

That guy is younger than the engine too. But yea, still funny. My bad for the bad picture.

Geez. This is pathetic. only one guess, and it was a joke about a bad first picture.

Ok, what ever. Im sick of no one ever getting mine. And me being the only one to use google for this.

Go ahead and pass on to someone else, as it always seems to go faster than mine. Im done with this game for awile.

OK I call dibs. What is it and what was it originally?

Krauss Maffei KM ML 4000c'c Diesel hydrolic locomotive. Imported from Germany. Used on the DRGW, and the SP. Tested on the New York Central with the DRGW units.

This particular model was the short hood style unit, as opposed to the cab unit style.

SP then turned it into a camera engine for training purposes. It is currently being restored to its original form.

And for bonus points.

SPRNGTyler's(sorry if I butchered it) entry is
Southern Pacific RR 2248
It is a 4-6-0
No idea what class. It burns oil though. (Sorry that I was late in looking at the thread.)

What is it? Why was it scrapped?

One of UP's 2 GE steam turbines, scrapped because it was seen as a better source of raw materials than a locomotive. IIRC they were having problems with ash wearing the blades and getting into the electrical components. Ran on GN and NYC during WW2 in motive power shortages.

When was it built, how many and for who, and what is the thing behind the fuel tank?

It was built in September of 1965 as EMD #30704 for the C&G (Columbus & Greenville). It is an EMD SD28. Only six of these were produced for C&G. The thing behind the fuel tank is a "Rerailing Kit". The rerailing kit includes things such as jacks and blocks. The fuel cell on this locomotive was a 1000 gallon capacity fuel cell.
