Looks like you've got a case of texture compression problems there. See the thread in my signature.

EDIT: Malc's response has a direct link to the tutorial - that will save you time.

soon as i seen the thread i knew it was the one i had read....But it didnt change it back....i even re started game and computer

That is strange. Did you remember to either open for edit and recommit the items, or redownload the affected assets?

Shane

It's a necessary step in fixing the issue. You can re-download the items though if you haven't modified them, which may be quicker.

Shane,

what i did was reinstall ts10 then leave enable hardware accelerated texture compression blank.

Then applied patches to bring it to build 49933 (not to sure about the nexted patch)

Then added the local folder that was backed up,and still it has the crazy textures...

Never has it done this to me before .

How would you go about installing trainz 10 with patches and the local folder backup without the crazy textures on everything??

Thanks
Brad

Reinstalling was not needed. Have you actually done the steps that are needed? If not, do them now.

yes i did everything said but every time i ran a route i was finding more and more items that where having the texture problem...so thought is there away to do all this at the install of the trainz and not having to go through all the items,as ive been through over 50 already

It is possible, as long as two things are the case:

1.The hardware accelerated texture compression is turned off ASAP after the game is installed.
2.The content is imported using Import Content, and not via a database repair.

((2.The content is imported using Import Content, and not via a database repair.))

Thats the bit i was missing out from when i had done it in the past

Cheers Shane all worked perfect
