Gradient/Next Signal info box

alexl102

Learning... slowly!
On some routes (and certain sessions), there's a very helpful box on the right hand side which tells you the gradient of the track you're currently on and the distance to the next signal/speed limit change etc...
Please can someone explain how to get this box to appear where it doesn't by default? Cheers!

Hi

I use "mc Custom Hud v2" which is built in to TS12 and displays what you want. It is also very useful when debugging sessions.

As on real RR's, an engineer is trained, and certified on a route, and knows where all the switches, signals and gradients are.

You could put in gradient trackside posts, that tell the gradient, or how far away a station or signal is.

You might want to be certified but for the majority of us this is a hobby/simulation/game not a job/RR so we are not looking to be certified for the routes we enjoy so any help from added rules is always welcome.

This!

I want it to appear on the Fort William route. Not sure how to add it in?

You will need to edit the session in order to add the relevant rule. Be aware though that if it's a built-in route, you will have to create a new copy of the route/session in the process.

Hi

It is a rule that you add to the session. Click on "Edit Session Rules" in Surveyor then click the Add button. Find the rule that you want and then click the tick. You should then see the HUD when you run Driver.
