Goodbye O-Guage, Hello HO

I've done quite a similar thing to tbob and gone from HO gauge down to OO9/N gauge. I've just bought a rather nice small layout on ebay. Its even cheaper to run n gauge, you know, my layout only cost me £140, fully scenic, with buildings, two loops of track, a branch line and three sidings. It also came with a Lima class 31, two BR Mk1 coaches, a few goods wagons and a gaugemaster TS controller. I have made myself a rather large HO layout in the attic, but it has been under construction for over 5 years now, hence the change.

I found it!

I found my n scale at last! you won,t be hearing from me until futher notice! I have to start building a large layout.:D:D:D

Me, I went the other way, HO then N now O. Most of my HO stuff has horn-hooks, so some cars are incompatible with others. I thought about replacing certain ones with knuckles, but you know, I'd really like more of IHC's Magic Mate ones because they're compatible with both!

I like Lionel's O scale, because they are bigger, but not too big like G scale, and well made! What I like about HO is that I can hold the engines in my hands, and while O scale is bigger, it's not too big for that. We already had an old Lionel engine and some cars, as well as ones of the cheaper, plastic variety, but the track and all was old and in bad shape.

After Christmas I got Lionel's Great Western set, and I wish I'd gotten into them years ago!
