GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Well if it wasnt made that way it be sick! lol, but he made the asset like that in gmax.

Hey arraial, why did a New Zeland engine hit a car with Pennsylvania plates? :hehe:

The crumple effect is made very easy but not in gmax but in 3d studioMax with the various modifiers Deformable see Ice model upstairs and the last page to.

First image is rendered, the second is not rendered and shows how it will look later in the game. Color, brightness and contrast can improve the transfer but still boosted.
In the game itself, the texture is much sharper.

Very nice rusty loco Ice, i wonder if have normal maps yet and you use the Nvidea plugin from photoshop? and i really like to know how you setup in max the render to texture for the shadows or the baking textures, my setup dont have good results with the unwrap flat uvw coordinates special whit the very small parts uvw faces. Any idea?:)
p.s. i baking textures whit the vray render mode.

Render in Max
Set size 0,002 wrapper.
I work mostly the important parts in the UVW mesh by hand.
And I stitich same UV's. (Welding)
Large textures are important for RTT. (Bake)

Not to worry, I've used Max since '08. I've updated my sig' to increase relevancy of the tips when asking for help.

Everything you see here are standard materials, top LOD with vehicle 5k polys, without vehicle 2800 polys bottom LOD 184 polys.

Built in Max 2012 using v ray materials baked out to standard tga's

Renders made 3 years ago in 3dMax2008 32b render mode Vray 1.5sp2
Hdr lights, vray plane and omni lights, Vray shadows and vray materials.
2048x each photo 4 hours render time.

Help please

Hello,

I require some help making complex steam locomotives drivers, their is no tutorials out there online and I am stuck making simple drivers. When I have made QR B13's, B15's and a possible A10 on the way. I am keen to get them into trainz, as soon as possible.

Could someone please assist me, it would be great for my QR projects and I am willing to learn further. :D
