GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

G'day mcguirel,

I will be waiting with bated breath (time to clean my teeth, again. methinks) to add these new meshes to my collection...

...as an aside, since I have your attention, I was wondering if the Bunya Pine (Araucaria bidwillii) is on your "to do" list? This tree is used extensively in station precincts by my beloved VR and to have anything 'better' than the 'standard' (built-in) Bunya Pines that are currently available world be a 'blessing' for all of us who model the VR...

I doubt these will be released for the simple fact is that the time invested in these have been extreme. They are being built for marketing purposes for employment who needs a SpeedTree Creator for future Game Production.
If I were to release these, I will admit as of right now they would be Donation-Ware and a massive package. They have been by far the hardest I have ever placed on SpeedTree Content.

The Fall Versions are being worked on when time allows.
I have three of the 3 of the 6 meshes done of the BroadLeaf.

My test today was 198 3D Fall Meshes ( 3 Different Meshes ), who knows how many billboards, and got 27 FPS @ 36ns per frame in OpenGL - WOW WOW WOW.
Second Test Results: 113 3D Fall Mesh ( 3 Different Meshes ), who knows how many billboards, and got 48 FPS @ 18ns per frame in OpenGL - Shall I say WOW again.
Both Tests @ 1920x1080 resolution and not in Trainz as allot of compile work is necessary as thee will be quite different than any other SpeedTree to date and thise why I am not providing anymore screenshots.

As for the Bunya Pine, maybe just maybe. They need significant improvements from the Built-In. I may have the original Built-In, so I will maybe look at the Built-In this weekend and see IF I CAN IMPROVE THEM.

Sorry, do not have the original.

G'day mcguirel,

Thanks for responding (although this isn't really the right place for such a 'conversation')...

...those are impressive statistics. What program do you use to create these trees? The need for more Australian Native Trees has me looking at the Speedtrees Developers Package (Speedtree for Games) but at US$12,500 (retail), I'm afraid that's just a tad outside my budget :'(...

...if you could find the time to create something along the lines of the stuff you have released so far with a. bidwillii, it would be much appreciated. The trees in your "acacia" range have a prominent place in my routes and screenshots when I produce them (along with various others and the grasses you created for S301/Zec)...

...unfortunately, I'm not sure what you mean by ..."...sorry, do not have the original..."???...
