*Airstream Pic*

A project I've been working on for a while

Caravans are my livelihood and I spotted a 24' Airstream of the same sort of vintage in for heavy repairs (almost a full restoration) just a few weeks ago. Unfortunately where it was parked there was no hope of a worthwhile broadside photo, but I thought at the time that it would look good in Trainz.

Nice one!

Andy ;)

Well unfortunately I can get it Into trainz where it reflects what it looks like Is a glass Twinkie more than it does an airstream. If I take the reflectivity out It kind of just looks like a metal box kind of flat and lifeless so hopefully I can find a good medium. If the jet engine only rendered like mental Ray wouldn't we have fun:hehe:

The problem I thought about when it comes to using a photo texture is going to be the reflections, chances are (and I tried with a bunch of different photographs) you're never going to get all four sides the same and there just isn't an RGB number for aluminum:hehe:

So really the only way to do it where you can control the reflections is using mental Ray but then baking that out and trying to get the reflectivity in the game Where it's correct is tricky.

Sweet skin Ryan - there is something about that shade of blue that just works! Your old RI GP38-2 skin is still one of my all-time fav locos (can't get it into Native though!)...

Andy

Thanks guys! Andy, I've got the RI 38's redux on the newest GP38 model but just have yet to set up the names under the cab- those should function in native when their time comes ;)
