He he, two completely different locos. The pic above is Welsh (??) on 2ft gauge, the one in sirgibby's site is Australian on 2ft6in. Both Baldwins mind. But both made by completely different creators :) I believe the creator of Lys has gone over to KRS completely now.

sirgibby's - 2-6-2T Baldwin running in Australia (Victorian Railways) on 30" gauge.

couple of posts back - 2-4-2T Baldwin running in England (Lynton & Barnstable Rwy) on 24" gauge.

That said, both based on same Baldwin export loco :)

You can use a program like Flux Studio (aka Vivaty) as a converter between .kmz and .3ds and then import into GMax. I've not done the conversion myself (I use Flux to convert .stl to .3ds so I can create meshes in Autodesk Inventor), so I don't know if it preserves texturing.

That being said, sketchup doesn't create very efficient meshes - you're likely to end up with double the poly count if you're not very careful...

No it's not, It's from southern England. Sorry for being pedantic. Anyhting 2ft is my speciality!:cool:

Hence the (??) in there ;) I knew Kevin made a great many welsh locos, so took a WSITD with it being Welsh :)

Thanks for the reply paulzmay. Looks like I'm just going to have to go back to Gmax and plod on through. Had hopes for SketchUp but by the sounds of it, it's not going to be worth the hassle.:(

yesterday I worked a little at a small narrowgaugeloco from germany.
The whole loco ist fictional, but with an idea of the 99 4511 of the "IG Pressnitztalbahn".

@Whistlehead: It will be for download mabee in a few day on may Homepage die-bahnpage.de.tl, but for the 750mm(or 3 ft) gauge. I don't want to rebuilt it for 2 ft. because this "loco" is 2,2m width , an i had to construct the whole loco just for put it on 2ft gauge.

I was bored one day, and I drew this.....
