No it took about 45 seconds to render...(Yes my pc is that slow and yet all I did was bumb up the shadow quailty to 6 and change the sample range.

and after all that.
what I was saying was is supposed to take 8 hours to Model the trailer!

~Maglevsx time for a new puta!~;)

This is not meant to be anything, I was just learning by trial and error on gmax. I got to this point and realised it looks a little like a mini class 50 :p

*EDIT*

This is as far i have got with this. I spent about 4hrs on it, learning all the way!

How did you do that?

I can only make poor, boxy engines.

Render of an LNER 12ton 'Longfit' pipe wagon diagram 103. Its been sitting in my workshop for to long, further more its something nice and simple to get finished unlike some of my other workshop items.

I wan't to didicate this post to all people who have spared the time to make tutorials for nearly every possible thing in gmax and 3ds max.
Also a message to those starting out in gmax like i was awile ago. USE THE TUTORIALS. Look at my previous posts and realise how bad things look if you have no experience. One thing which you wont know is i tried to learn gmax about 2 years ago and failed and after 1 1/2 years of failing i decided to create something using a series of tutorials put together and it workd. There are some things that you need experience for which I have picked up in the last 2 years but there are some where you just have to follow tutorials until you can do it yourself. Not everyone needs them but I did and i have made something worth releasing.
Here it is:
(Its a bit boxy at the lower front end but im happy)(oh and rivets are a pain! Thank you to the makers of 3ds max for the clone tool!!)

It took 4 months to make (so what if im teh slowest ever) but a message again to those still starting out: Don't rush, take your time and afcourse: Enjoy yourself!!
