GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

What you need to do is apply a black alpha channel to the diffuse texture(s) of the locomotive.

In gimp, this is done by going to "layers->transparency-> add alpha channel." Then, go to "layers->transparency-> color to alpha." A smaller window should appear allowing you to change the color of the alpha channel. After changing the color, click "okay."

I would recommend applying a black alpha channel after you have finished your texture.

Nice building assets!!!

Sweetwater - wasn't it the town to be built in the movie "Once Upon A Time In The West"?
... I can hear the theme in my mind :-)

Your's TUME

Yes - the opening scene "Once upon a time in the West"! I hope the windmill emittes the same squeaky sound! :-)
Nicely done - I like it ...
Only the smoke seems to be a little too much. It looks like they are burning the wood stock for a winter in a single day.
A little less smoke would look better in my opinion.

Nice work all!

Gettin er done...
(This is the FEF-1, the FEF-2 and FEF-3 have already been exported.)

Now for drivers for this loco, and a different trailing truck.. and then both tenders. Oh, and I need to model the older-style compressor shiled as well. So much to look forward to... But it will surely be worth it!
Also, if anybody is wondering why the pipes are black, that is because of the way I UV mapped them.

For some reason, I see that the FEF-3's and the FEF-2's are the most popular of the 3 classes of northerns. The FEF-1 is something I rarely know anything about. Except for the fact that it was a northern, and were built and operated by the UP.
