GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

You literally have restarted this project, FOR THE 4TH TIME???

This is the thing that people don't realize about the content creation process: If you want quality content, it is a long and time consuming thing. I've got stuff that I'm on the 5th and 6th restart of that have never seen the light of day, I've got other projects (my earliest releases for example) that I'm not happy with and intend to redo parts of (if not completely redo from scratch). Other things I'm working on right now I get tired of and get back to it when I feel like it. Sometimes I feel like making some new skins or working on my routes instead of building models too. Throw real life into the mix like a job and a family, and that's exactly where daylightrain's answer comes from. Most of us do this as a hobby and don't have Gantt Charts of project timelines with deadlines to be met.

Oh yeah. (Technically 5 in the GS series if you count my GS-1, which I do still want to do at some point) It may be more, but I'm just going on the model files I have available right now.

Its truly amazing to see how far I've come since 2010 when I made my first GS-6. Horribly off scale and very minimal detail. Now I'm building complex shapes, everything is 100% scaled to blueprints, and actually looks appealing. For fun, here's a look at all the previous models together with the new GS-2:

You make a fantastic point. I sometimes feel like a lot of people here on the forums expect things to be done overnight and 100% perfect. There's an old saying for this: Rome wasn't built in a day. Real life comes first and always takes priority over Trainz. Thanks everyone for being so supportive so far, really excited to get this thing done and released.

While we are still on the topic of how we have improved, here's some pictures of 2 models that I've greatly improved on in the 3-4 years time i learned blender.

WIP: ET 165

The famous ET 165 of the Berliner S-Bahn. They have been build in 1928 to 1932 and stayed in regular service until 1997, some of them until today as museum trains:

Nice Ivan.

Here is one of the Barefoot & Southerns engines. Still trying to figure out how I want my color scheme; but green is deffenitly involved.

Dutsen!

The mogul is looking good, Dusten.
Another livery for the FTs:

And the cab WIP, lacking only the sander and brakes which I'm loathe to start on because I frankly dread their complexity.

Just a loco shed, But this one will have a script so when a loco nears the door it will roll up and a team of workers will come out and service the loco.

...............................Actually i'm just kidding bout the script part LOL this old shed will just sit there and do nothing really.
Cheers Mick.:)

After learning to avoid my "I got too excited and previewed my project way too soon" practice and focusing on learning to work more efficiently in Blender instead, here is the station of Narvik, Norway.

Also, if the images don't show up, I blame this forum's difficulty when used on mobile 😅

East Bay Electric

Nice to see some great works happening. Started on this today, its just a freelance model as I don't have any diagrams or anything of that nature. So I'm only working off visual cues.

John, the Narvik station is quite impressive.

And Isaac, that's a good start. I was wondering when we'd see a Red car...hope all goes well with that project.

(also in before 817Taylor goes spare because SN/Key system connection)
