GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

A typical V&T / C&C combination depot....

Seasonal effects wouldn't be too hard to do. Let me get it in-game and coded up / animated first; the model is the easy part :)

can we get back on topic? criticizing others wont make them work any harder, better or faster it will only pi them off wend you think about it.
There a old saying that goes: "everyone hates a critic"

Those actually look quite nice! I think a little bit more love with the air reservoir near the fuel tank and maybe some texture baking if your modelling program is capable of it and you'd have some top notch looking locomotives. And even without that, they still look very good. Far better than what I can do.

^^^^ Agreed. Nice engines dude[/COLOR]

Thank you both. I'm just using Sketchup so I can't make anything much better than what you see. My skills are still pretty limited. I agree, the fuel tanks could look more "textured" they do look rather flat LOL.

In the past ya perhaps. Nowadays it doesnt. Atleast for me.

Criticism is fine. Telling a creator there's something wrong with their creation (and providing photos as evidence/reference) is fine. Telling someone that something sucks is not criticism, that's just straight up attacking and berating.

Good points jamie.

Ok. All thats left is ARN, Smoke deflectors (Selectable mesh), Frisco plate (Fictional SLSF 2-10-2) ,spec maps and bump maps.

Sketchup you say? Cool, I'm on the same program, although I'm also learning SolidWorks with college now and I probably have enough of it down to make a locomotive, although no clue how I'd get it from SW to Trainz. I'm curious, how well do the models perform on your pc? Any more lag than usual running them?
