GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Got another update on that S1 that my friend is building. Right now he's adding all of the final details (including the cutout for the headlight up front), then it's off to texturing, then preliminary exporting! This thing is awesome. He even modeled the rivets and the tender scoop!

Like I said before, he's looking for business. If anyone has any commissions they want done, shoot me a PM and I'll put you two in touch!

EDIT: That unit looks to be fictional... I don't quite know anything with those dimensions. Might be able to be modded into a Dash 8.5 though with a bit of work.

Fictional SD6000CW. Combination of a SD60E with a AC6000CW bogey but with HTC trucks

Wait, whut? AC6000 bogey but HTC trucks? So just HTC trucks then XD. Also, that's not a SD60E... Or an AC6000... :o

In other news, something that I've just dusted off. Figured we needed a bunch of these for 1930's and 40's routes!

EDIT: In regards to the S1, it will be a payware pack consisting of most if not all of the versions of it during its career (World's Fair, PRR Promotional, PRR As-Delivered/fully skirted, PRR Partially de-skirted, PRR fully de-skirted). Not sure how much, but it's definitely gonna be worth it!

Probably won't be fictional for long considering that coal service is down and UP has quite a number of AC6000s that just need 5 years in Texas rock train service to wear them out then it's likely off to NS... you never know!

Nice looking loco. Excited to see what is to come. Not to be a gimme pig by any means, but you should try modding a version of that into a Dash 8.5CW if you want. Very cool.

No problem Mick! These types of buildings were guard houses for railroad crossings back when they were manually operated. They had levers for lowering gates (which were linked by chains that ran underneath the tracks) and for illuminating the crossing signals. This was way back before automatic systems, so every gated and lit crossing in the US had these in all shapes and sizes. This one happens to be made from Erie plans, but I also have examples from the C&NW, NYC, PRR, DL&W, and the B&O to name a few! If I recall correctly, this one is a bit larger because it also controls a set of crossovers as well as a set of quad crossing gates.

Thanks Jackson i think i have probably seen those before in model railroad mag's maybe, Nice work anyway mate cant wait too see yours in game.
Cheers Mick.

That looks beautiful Dusten. The parlour/business car/saloon carriage is always my favourite on the train, and that one looks very nice. I love the detail (arched windows, railing, etc.)
