GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Looks good trainman7616. So what kind of 4-8-4 are you making?

Hallo,

yes, this very nice looking mesh could be the start of a MILW 261 – like I have under creation as well. But in the other hand and besides some other little differences, the rear bogey of the original MILW 261 does not have the slot at its very end as the connection to the other side has been designed another way.

Hey Trainboi1, Just out of curiosity, do you plan on doing a Southern Pacific version of your Harriman 2-8-0? If not I can try to reskin for my own use but I wanted to ask you first because I know you could do a better job than me.

I already beat you to the skinning part.

Chill out y'all, just keep rebuilding until it's accurate:

Can you say "weird counterweights"? These actually aren't the weird ones either, Santiago and Merrimac had squared-off counterweights that were 165° off of the crank pin instead of the usual 180°...

Looking good dan. Amazingly smooth texture detail.

Keep up the great work ben

Tume, the engine Im working on is a MILW S-2 class. While 261 is a S-3 class. The S-3's had 74in diameter wheels where as the S-2's only had 69in diameter wheels.
I plan to build 261 as soon as I can find some plans but thats proving futile :/

Turns out that the Milwaukee Road's S-2 4-8-4s had friction bearings on the trailing truck. I'll post a photo tomorrow of it. Also I'm working on The NP A-2 4-8-4.
