Oh I see, you make the 2nd whistle a windshield wiper. Normally diesels only have it, but with scripting you can give a steam engine a windshield wiper function and use that as the second whistle. I however have hardly any scripting know how, so that would be a long way down the road for me. Glad that a fictional blue will be included. This will spur me to get back on my fictional 2ft gauge steam railroad.

Those creations look wonderful. The telephone pole is very well-modeled; I know there's some in game recently that are very good as well, but variety is never a bad thing. As for the 2MT, it looks gorgeous. If you want, I can send the tender from my 4MT to be modified and updated; should save you a bit of work.

Not to split hairs here but those are telegraph poles. I haven't got into making telephone poles...yet! More info about these poles are located in this thread.

It is a USA dock tank. Naturally it will be similar, although pardon me for saying but the real-life dirt and grime always fit this class far better than the frankly ridiculous pink and white livery used in T&F. The XK2 looks fantastic, and I know it will find a home on many an industrial layout when complete...

As I stated, it is an XK2 class. The CHN bought a good deal of ex-USATC Dock Tanks from what I understand, and modified them for their own use, classing them XK2. This is a CHN variant of an originally American locomotive, that is why it looks American but has a CHN logo.

Just be careful, Will. Sketchup models tend to have a crapload of polys when finished. At least, that's what i've heard. Can someone please confirm this?

From what I've seen, yes. But however, thanks to Bob Cass (May he rest in peace), there is a program that can import the models into Trainz. I don't remember what it's name was, though...

...the general consensus, Will, amongst creators here, is that Sketch-Up is for "dummies" (and because of this it is "over-engineered") and although it does do a "reasonable" job at creating 3d models, it is not really suitable for our purposes. The export program to which you refer, I believe, is called "RubyTMX": (or something like that, if I'm not mistaken)...
