The 2-8-2's exported from China to America were made by Tangshan class SY. How ever Felixtrain, it would not be hard at all to modify yours to suit the American Exports.

Boone and Scenic Valley's #8419 is a JS.

The two other mikados are SY types.

The rest of the Chinese locomotives are QJs.

Hey all,

Learning how to build Bloomberg bogies.

The way I build bogies is to line them extrude the full width and boolean cut the insides then chamfer the inner and outer corners, I'm not 100% sure on the axle box's, maybe someone will be able to help with some info on them, are they plain bearings or roller package bearings?

Those are early style Hyatt roller bearings, it was mostly phased out of production in the 1940's, so you'll generally only see them on early EMD products.
