What is that from TC?
Because as far as I know We only have a couple of P42's from Digital round house and my god if those didnt look like candy I dont know what did.

Wether is from TC or not I think that looks great, Im not to sure about those bogeys...But great job who ever did that. Nice textured on lights and airvents, looks very low poly too

Wip, the air vents have been added in scince I took this and the end has been finished.

Im wondnering, what program are u using Floridarailmaster

I think I've figured out a new way to get gmax files into 3ds (at least I haven't seen it documented anywhere; it's not the quake gamepack method). It takes a while to setup the first time but after that it's a five-step process. It has its shortfalls like many things but as you can see the mesh is intact bar a few smoothing group issues.

Hi Mike

At risk of being sniped at again, the locos were built for TC as a favour for Lance as he asked me if I could do them. I'd not done a US diesel before (other than texturing one of prjindigo's NW2s), so it was a good challenge for me.

Mind you they were done in very short time frames, and I wanted to stick to the CCG guidelines fairly rigidly with poly counts, so hence I went all out on the texturing. I also tried to make them skin friendly, so if anyone wanted to do Amtrak Ph3 or 4, they could be done fairly easily (the NH and MN executive skins were done in only a couple of hours in Photoshop).

The bogies were done from photos and a couple of cruder line drawings, but I think they are OK. From what I can tell, they are not simply the normal P40/42 bogies, but have been modified somewhat (and not only just adding the third rail equipment). Have a look in the Trainz Classics thread if you want to see a couple of other screenies, or pick up a copy of TC to see them for real.

Good luck with your P32 and sing out if you need any pics as I have a heap.

Cheers
Tony

@Macan,

it's for cleaning the tubes inside the boiler of german steam locos.

I thought it was a piece of play equipment, that thing that SG1 made... :P
Anyways, my renders. First is what I started out with, Billegulla's BE car.

And after having had the mesh for 24 hours, this is the current result.

Dear Tony, I'm sorry for snapping out at you, it was rude and inconsiderate, How ever the actions of what we call members of this forum in the past few years have been building up. Thanks my friends on this forum I got over it and was encouraged and pushed to continue what I love doing, modeling trains. I have been told by many people who have already gotten their copy of TC, that your model looks a lot better (they say it doesn’t look like an Auran model) hahaha. The fact that you made it easily re-skinable was very considerate and running them behind my p32s, or in a group at the yard will provide the variety and less stress on the computer that’s always helpful to make TC a better running simulator.

That car is like Exactly what i need. if you wouldn't mind, i would swap out the Bogies for something more 'American':hehe: :D , and use it for personal use, not intentions for re-release.
incredible work there pal!
