GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

You don't have to limit yourself to EMD (unless that is what you really like). The beautiful thing about 1950s to 1970s is the diversity of roads and models running in considerable numbers. There are entire lines of ALCO, Fairbanks Morse, and Baldwin diesels from that period that have barely been touched by anyone.

This is one I haven't worked on in months, but some day, in the very distant far off future, I want to finish it. In the mean time, I hope it'll spark your creativity and get it pumping to go seek out the documentation and references for stuff you want to build. Steam locomotives are far more complex than diesels so, if you can turn those steam locos out then I can't wait to see what you can do with a diesel.
This is true, but in terms of engine sounds you're going to be kinda limited with what you can build, especially with the FM and Baldwins, not so much with the alcos. EMD, GE, and ALCo, are your best bets.

That's a very nice high hood alco there opus! I don't know my ALCo's particularly well, which model is that?

Hi guys. As before I was posting images of 1-C + C-1 start modeling. I'll leave here two renders him completely, missing export and other paintings:

Thanks.

Dear Simulatortrain,
this project looks very interesting for me. Can you disclose a secret, how did you model the switch blades?
Best regards
FSP

I took standard pieces of rail and put them in the correct alignment, then sliced them at an angle so they could close like they should.

Feel like doing some modern traction, Trainboi1? How about the unique BR Brown-Boveri Gas Turbine locomotive No.18000?

WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT. I did see some plans for the Bulleid 'Leader,' So much for modern and looks about as awkward.
Doing Baldwins, ALCos or FMs would be great fun though, I love those interesting engines that never see the limelight.

Yes, especially the Baldwins and FM's such as the Erie-built

If you think that's awkward, you should see their next attempt:

And here's the drawings. I find early BR diesels/gas turbines incredibly interesting, plenty of odd one-off prototypes banging around like the GT3 above. Anyway, hows the Caley Single coming along?

I absolutely love experimental locomotives, which is why I've made the LMS's steam turbine 'Turbomotive', and GT3 is the next experimental loco on my list. Then the Fell diesel. :)

LOL! that 4-6-0 Gas turbine is a good one. I have a picture in one of my books at home that has what looks like eyeballs painted in the headcode circles. The engine looks stunned as can be that it's picture was getting taken...
