GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

It's jail, not the Hyatt hotel.:D
Lol.

Seriously though, lighting in CGI is a huge and interesting topic.
Take a look around the room you're in, and look at the shadows.
Even a single light bulb will reach all corners of the room, and it's the "bounce" of the photons off each surface, onto another, decaying as it goes, that lights up the darker areas that the light doesn't illuminate directly.

Paint one of your walls bright RED, and from a single light bulb you'll see a tint of red on most surfaces, and that's those wonderful photons bouncing off the red wall, and taking the colour information with them onto their next bounce.

Actually don't paint a wall red.
It's supposed to be a very angry colour to live with. :D

Smiley.

Nice to hear from someone who knows the associated physics

Which is why you should use render passes and a good compositor ... single frame raw output leaves you with no control over lighting and shadows ...

What a skinny loco! Must be one of those "supermodels" I keep hearing about! ;)
Looks great, guziol, what gauge is it?

SS City of Milwaukee taking shape in the shipyard. 1930 Railroad Car Ferry built to replace the SS Milwaukee which sank in 1929. Currently in Michigan as a Museum ship (makes finding pictures easy)

This time I am building the model with Trainz in mind. It will go to Virtual Sailor first, but I am making all the textures to Trainz Content sizes, so hopefully with some help, she will make the transitation
