GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

What are you using these models for? This can't be model intended for use in the game. I don't want to jump conclusions, even though I've seen time and time again people over detail their "game" models(rrmods and their hoppers come to mind, among others whom I don't remember the names of). Though, even as a normal model it has a lot of issues that would prevent it from working well for that function.

If you're making some neat 3d renders though, sure. Could use some textures and something a little nicer than stock sunlight :p

We have determined that it will only be a short period of time before Guido is actually modelling rust flakes in 3D. The good thing is that I can still run long strings of his cars with no issues thanks to LOD. Whether that is the case for everyone I have no idea, but my rig is one that I would only consider to be of medium specs as far as video processing power is concerned.

First time modeling steam, am I doing it right?

I'm surprised at how time consuming making a steam locomotive is compared to diesel. But that's for pretty obvious reasons. :hehe:
