GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Loving that crane! Where does everyone get 3DS Max, doesn't it cost thousands of dollars?

Here is my E60 I am working on in gMax:

Oh and what is a reasonable amount of polygons for the average high-detail locomotive? Mine is already up to almost 13,000!

There's a student edition of 3DS Max which you can get for free for non-commercial use. Go on Autodesk's official site and make an account, and download the student edition.

Yes. The license for the program is too expensive, 3000$, but you can sell your creations with it. Student license, is only for 2 years, and you cannot use it to make any commercial product. But for me 3DSmax is very easy, when you have learned the basics of the program :D. I recommend you to get 3DSMax 2009, as 3DSMax 2012, yes have exporters for Jetengine, but they are still beta

Cheers

-Three different versions should do the trick, all with animated doors you can open at anytime, and there will be some new loads for them to, to see when you do open the doors.
