Getting Started… too many options!

G’day,

Just a quick intro and a few questions regarding getting started with Trainz 2012. My name is Steve (as you can probably guess from the username) and I have just bought Trainz 2012 and run through the tutorials. I’ll start out by saying I am well impressed with the simulator and what I have seen from the community thus far. From what I have read, everyone on the forum seems to be extremely friendly and more than willing to help.

While I have spent some time running through the included scenarios, and I can see them providing hours of fun in the future, the main reason I have picked up Trainz is the amount of Aussie content I read was available. I have made a few searches on the download station however there seem to be too many options available. So, as a new timer and after a bunch of unsuccessful searches on the forums, I humbly request any opinion on the best Australian based scenarios/locos available. I am based in Sydney and my favourite loco is the awesome 3801, so any information you are able to offer regarding Sydney based routes or 3801 will be greatly appreciated. Also, any other suggestions regarding getting started will be great as well (i.e. suggestions on ‘must play’ scenarios and download content.)

3801 has an issue working in TS12 - the horn fails to sound but we are working to fix the problem.

You can NEVER have "too many options available", most on here think there aren't enough options.
