German translations

Is there anything you can do to translate the German sessions into English?

They look really good but i don't have the foggyest of what to do on them

I realised that i could translate it myself but was more interested in whether i could get something to do it in-game

Yes, it was a facile answer on my part wasn't it.

I was thinking if you can open the files where the text for the sessions is stored and paste translations into those, then you should see them when you're in the game. However I suspect if these sessions are "built-in" and locked up in .ja files you won't even be able to do that. Someone with TS2009 could perhaps answer whether the session files are accessible to editing in some way (cloning?). I don't have '09 so I can't say.

If you don't already have them, here are the kuid numbers for English versions for Maria Pass:

EB7 kuid2:46162:2033:5
CBWheat kuid2:46162:2032:5

Is it or isn't it, that is the question...

Hi BigThing
Service Pack 2 fixes the language issue in many of the sessions.

Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't the current released SP2 just a better beta release (RC which means as far as I know this release is the one before the proper release of SP2) and the real SP2 is still around the corner?

I as a content creator want to upgrade but as I read in the Dev forum, some issues are still to be fixed and some features could be broken (not necessarily but one never knows as happening in the past....) when fixing these and others. As I would like the proper SP2 for testing my creations and I surely can not be ar$ed to reinstall TS09 fresh again if the patch to 38841 SP2 is not the proper one and that one does indeed break or change some of the current features.

I have build 38599 and as there is presently a SP2 patch to upgrade from 38599 -> 38807 ->38841, what is this last build 38841? Is this the proper SP2 or is it just a RC of SP2?
Thank you for answering whenever.

Cheers

Ok FINALLY the correct patch came out, i have installed it (and run a database repair yet still there is no English in the sessions. Is there a way to do this manually?

That's what i mean. I did a little German in school but god knows what this is saying!!

Is there any way to make the sessions English because they all look really good!!

BigThing:

See post 7 in this section. Put the kuid's in the D/L cart and click D/L all. and install them.

Was Ist Das ?

I use Google Translate, and cut, copy & paste phrases in all types of languages...you can converse with people in other languages by using this language conversion technique.

Google or Alta Babel Fish are ok but the session instruction pages are .jpg graphics instead of ASCII characters so you can't easily cut and paste into a translator. I had to retype everything that I wanted to translate.

If you set the Search Action Panel in CM2 to Author - #46162 you should see the status icon for the :4 versions now show a ? which means Unknown Location and an Update availabe icon. The newly downloaded :5 versions have a Local status icon. This should cause the 3 Maria Pass sessions to use the English versions. Here are the kuids in question:

Unknown Location CBWheat,<kuid2:46162:2032:4>
Local CBWheat,<kuid2:46162:2032:5>
Unknown Location EB7,<kuid2:46162:2033:4>
Local EB7,<kuid2:46162:2033:5>
Unknown Location ShelbyLocal,<kuid2:46162:2034:4>
Local ShelbyLocal,<kuid2:46162:2034:5>

I was kinda hoping to do the ones that are new to TS2009
I would translate manually but that is time consuming
Is there any way (or patch) that i could get them into English apart from manually?
