Generic station with own platform?

I want to create a generic station with any number and length of platforms, but there seems to be no way to create a station in TRS 2006 without using one of the pre-built station objects (which are nice, by the way - just that I don't want to use them for their length and placement of building etc.)

I want to just mark a set of platforms as a station with each as a different platform.

Is it at all possible? in MSTS and Kuju, one is able to mark a section of track as a station platform, but in TRS it does not seem possible?

Any clues as to how to create passenger stations without using a generic station object and of any length?

There should be invisible stations for 04 that would work in 06, and probably stations built for 06 as well.
With these you can place your station and add as much platform spline as you like to make your favorite platform length, and mix and match buildings to dress it up.

^ That's exactly what I do most of the time. I design a lot of routes with small towns and they don't need massive stations, so I design my own. Looks much better (IMO).

I downloaded andi06's invisible stations.

How do I place generic platform splines to align in invisible stations? I tried adding track, which works with the invisible station, but not platforms which don't recognize the "spline marks" in the invisible station.

Is there any method for creating an invisible station that I'm not aware of?

I am not promising I am going to do this -- it's more of a curious factor, and perhaps, something I could do down the road!

You can post up screenshots from MSTS or Kuju!
Or a more detail explanation!

While handy, the AJS track configurations are still inflexible, so I cannot have a station with platforms several tracks apart. (for example, in a station where a middle track runs as a bypass.)

You could use two single-track platforms. I do this all the time on my personal route. I just name the platforms a little differently than I would for a complete two-track station.

Example: West Acton Inbound /West Acton Outbound is used for two distinct platforms.

When using invisible stations, you can use splines placed above them that are stretched to different lengths. I adjust the height of the spline platform, and then sink it into the landscape so that the feet of the people just touch the surface and aren't buried up to their knee caps.

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to approach this.

What i meant was I just wanted a command to AI to say "go to any platform of this station" and not "go to platform x of station".

So that AI trains use the available platform to go to rather than wait indefinitely for a track to get cleared.

Maybe that's asking too much.

I also thought of this and it would work for simple stations. But what about making trains go to any platform of a particular station rather than just a particular platform?

Maybe an "alternative" command could be the idea here. If platform X isn't available, choose platform Y, for instance.
