Amazing what a little plant life can do.:hehe:

Story from the Screeshot of the week post:
"GC&T Work train passes the local stopping for Central's Fammous Fish burger & Fries lunch in the rain..."

1 & 2) The GCRY Express braves the storm on the cliffsides...
3) Bdaniels 2-6-6-2 makes its first aperance on my line

The following shots are the last ones I will take for the next 2 weeks if not longer...

Story...
The GC&T is having its 75th birthday coming up so in honor of that, they are running special trains. One such train ran today on June 3rd 1960.

It was a night special, pulled by the engines usualy looked over and forgoten. Most people who waited in Central to get it were out side in the rain. I myself work for the line, and got to spend the night on the MOW caboose which was parked on the sidding in Central..

The first shot is mine, the others are copies of shots other railfans took...

On the fun non story side, hitting the end of track, I saw something cool looking, and something I think someone needs to make.

Sadleback mallet...

Tyler, you are a genius. I don think anyone has ever though a saddletank mallet was a good idea. And what a weird place for that tender.
