Furuya: New Japanese layout.

Like I said, it's a good looking train.
I looked Kenichiro up in the Members List at the top of the forum page and dropped him an E-mail inviting him to come see your reskin, but I haven't heard back. You might want to look him up too and send him a picture with your request.
Now that I've seen the pictures again, that last house looks crooked. I'd better fix that.

 Claude

Yeap! I think I will send him and e-mail, can you say me his e-mail?
Like I said, looking good those screenies :D
Guillermo

Sorry, I don't know Kenichiro's e-mail address. I mailed him by going to the Members List button at the top of the forum page (top of this screen) selecting K, then going through the k's until I found his profile. It's on page 86, I think.

Since you like the screenshots, let me give you a few more.

furuya04tsurulocalzr1.jpg

As a commuter train arrives from the mainline, a local starts it's climb up the mountain.

furuya05tsuruexitrv0.jpg

On the way out of Tsurunohama. Spring is settling in and the grass is starting to get out of control.

furuya06riverbanksd7.jpg

And there's no better sign of spring than the first cherry blossoms.

Progress is progressing! A town or two should follow today or tomorrow.:D

Wha... what train is this one?

Continue with picts. ;)

Actually, the new train is sthe B-set by cjennin. Either look it up on the DLS or look up his Kuid, 54662:
This one is passenger enabled, but he also did some other Australian trains for UTC.
I got the grey JR commuter train from Boleamj. We're trying to get in touch with Kenichiro for permission to release it.

 Claude

I'm still working on it...

I haven't been lazy.
Okay, yes I have.:D But I'm plugging away faithfully.
I've almost finished planting the trees, then it'll be time to set the speeds and do some detail work. I might finish this weekend.:D

furuya07midorigawawv0.jpg

Here's the local arriving at Midorigawa. It's a small mountain town famous among Train Fans for the Midorigawa loop, whick passes through two tunnels on it's way upthe slope.

furuya08loophn2.jpg

Here the local train is crossing over the lower line as it enters the second tunnel. From here it heads toward the reservoir above the city.

Still plenty to do, but I'm almost there. I'll try to get more pictures today.

 Claude

looking good, i also like klinger tend to get mostly US routes but this looks like a nice route to run some of those bullet trains i have lying around

You could run bullet trains, but not very fast. :D It's a mountain branch line, and the top speed limit is about 50 kph. The Shinjkansen track is only 3 baseboards long and doesn't go anywhere. It's just background decoration. I'll have to do a shinkansen layout when I get more time.

Speaking of mountains, here's a shot approaching the pass.
furuya09fielduo6.jpg

There's a small farm on the left and a road bridge in the distance.

furuya10takaikefv3.jpg

The little town of Takaike overlooks the reservoir above Tsurunohama.

furuya11harunogorgeiv7.jpg

And on the far side of the pass, the upper bridge where the line crosses itself again.

furuya12yamamurabranchas7.jpg

At the bottom of Haruno Gorge is the branch line to Yamamura.

furuya13yamamurava0.jpg

And the end of the branch line at Yamamura station. Like most stations on the line it's an un-manned platform. Tickets are purchased from the conductor.

It's mostly done now. I have to do some testing and adjusting and set up the signals, cameras and speed signs. Almost at the end, now.

 Claude

A few more.

Here's some pictures of the coal train.
Coal and passengers are the only industries on the line right now, but I left room if anyone wants to add their favorites later.

furuya14yamamuracoalbs4.jpg

Here's the DD-51 picking up a load at the north head of the mine at Yamamura.

furuya15coaltraingk5.jpg

From this angle you can see the southern facilities.

furuya16lowerloopnx1.jpg

And exiting the lower tunnel at the Midorigawa loop.

furuya17tsurunohamayarddl9.jpg

And finally crossing through the Tsurunohama Yard on the way to the power station. There's a turntable and roundhouse here.

 Claude

Hello again!
After too much time and procrastination, I have Tsurunohara pretty well done, so here are some pictures of the town.

furuyatsurunohamastatioyu6.jpg

A 700 series Shinkansen is loading passengers on the upper level platform at the station. (Train available at Trainzluvr)

furuyatsurunohamaplatfobr7.jpg

A series 2000 stops at the local platform. This is a reskin of Kenichiro's 113 by Boleamj. We need to get Kenichiro's permission to release it, because it's really nice!

furuyatsurunohamaintersft0.jpg

Leaving the station and approaching the main line. You can just see a business man walking over to catch the bus. A truck is making a large delivery at the 7-11. We need a 7-11 Holdings sign someday. And some smaller trucks, like an Isuzu Forward or Mitsubishi Canter.

furuyatsurunohamalinean5.jpg

Cabview of the Shinkansen line. Many thanks for the TGV track. It's very nice.:D

furuyatsurunohamashrinemd6.jpg

And if the hustle of the rails gets to be too much, there's a peaceful shrine at the end of a quiet street.

The hard part's done, it's just a matter of finishing the textures and foliage now. More pictures should follow soon.

 Claude
what station is that and ware did u get it it looks just right for a layout im doin.

Central Station, Kuid 50722:28003
It's just the building. The track and platforms were added. I agree, it's a great looking station.

 Claude

Is there some reason the series 2000 seems to have the same doors as the 113? Not being from Japan, I've no idea if this is prototypical, but it does look strange as heck...

It's because Boleamj reskinned the 113 to make it. Not knowing what the series 2000 looks like, I don't know if it's right or not, so it looks fine to me.
A lot of trains do have contrasting doors, although not neccessarily in the old JNR Tokaido colors.:D Possibly he couldn't reskin the doors for some reason.
Either way, I think it's a nice looking train.

The route itself is done. I sent it off to Auran last night and it should be available when they run through the weekend's load.
Thanks to everyone for their encouragement, and special thanks to Kenichiro for the track and buildings, along with other assets, and to Nozoming for kindly helping with the names, even though I probably got them wrong anyway.:o I have to study harder.
And thenks to Boleamj for loaning me his train. I hope Kenichiro approves it for distribution.

Thanks to you Tokkyu for the route, obiously, I couldn´t finnish it because of the exams. Y will try to finish it this Christmas :D. Hope you did enjoy the sounds too :).

Cya ;)

Yes, I know that the series 2000 and the kuha moha aren´t similar, but we don´t have too much Japanese trainz in the game. We have to enjoy with the things we have.

Claude, here is a pict of the series 2000 at the MSTS game:

You're welcome.

I managed to finish some pictures of the excursion train. I opted for the BR 85 for power, since it looks a lot like a Japanese prototype.

furuya18harunorm9.jpg

The engine, with a pair of cars, starts the climb to the pass from Haruno station.

furuya19excursionkh3.jpg

The line parallels the road in Haruno Gorge, giving a fine show to passing cars.

furuya20bridgenn8.jpg

Crossing the lower bridge, the excursion train approaches Sakuragahara...

furuya21sakurarf5.jpg

and slows well down to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Some passengers always get off here to enjoy the flowers.

The upload has been approved. It should be up on the DLS in a few hours.
Enjoy.:D That's an order.
