CM would not make use of FDM as they are separate programs.

As for the FTP side, you would need to link FDM so it catches downloads from your browser.

It's normally part of the install process.

thanks for all the help been out shoveling back and forth in the house 2 feet of snow on long island anyway should I uninstall ftp that I currently have also
have the fcm install on my laptop

FTP is an internet protocol so it's not something you can uninstall.

There is no way of downloading queue of multiple items at once through any 3rd party download manager or through ftp anymore. There was one application which capable of that but due to the changes to DLS setting author of this application gave up any further modifications. So You can either download single item through browser or download single or multiple item(s) through Trainz download manager built-in in Trainz.
