ftp address, where do I enter it?

trying to download a few things but the server is busy, so I figured I'd download it via ftp as a .cdp file and install it that way.
now this is where I'm stuck, on the trains download page it says ftp address for ftp users : then the address.
does anyone know where do I enter this address so I can download as .cdp file?

You don't need to enter the FTP address. To download an item from the DLS via FTP just click on the yellow text link Download Page next to the item and then on the new window, click the link Download (ftp)

All you have to do is find the asset you wish to download, click Download page, then in the window that comes up, click Download (ftp). it then brings up the save dialogue box, where you can choose to either DL and open with CMP, or save to your desktop/hardrive/USB as a CDP. file.

Edit: Pware beat me to it. Oh well, I'll type faster next time.

I did click but the link wont show, says either:
If you have just only registered your serial number, your access may not have been activated, please try again in 10 minutes.
The maximum number of connections to our download server has been reached.

I guess the ftp and helper dls are integrated with the same server...

I think I see the problem. Your join date shows as Jan 2011, so if you have only registered in the last week or so, it is entirely possible that your access is still pending. Give it a few days, keep trying, then probably best to drop a ticket at the helpdesk if it still doesn't work.

Edit: Just checked your user profile; you joined on 30th Jan, 4 days ago. Like I said, keep trying, give it a week or so, then send a ticket to the Helpdesk.

The FTP address is given for the benefit of users who have FTP software like FileZilla.

I do have filezilla, but after i click connect it says 503 maximum number of users reached

I was told by Zec, who trundles through these forums from time to time, on how to download through the ftp link...

First go to the item you want, click on "DOWNLOAD PAGE", this will open a new box, sometimes this may say "waiting for auran.com...", give it time it will appear, and right click your mouse on "DOWNLOAD(ftp)", and select "Save Link As..." select a folder you would like to save the CDP to, and then click save.

If all goes well, you should have your first saved CDP, don't forget to get all the dependencies to the item, these are marked as details in the first box, do the same as above throughout the individual "(details)" boxes, without all relevant cdp's, your new item will show up as faulty in Trainz.

There have been days I could not access assets through Download Page.
When you cannot download by FTP, you know there are a lot of people on.
