MKT Forever and always
just found this:

http://www2.irm.org/blogs/archives/780-STEAMIN-Ocotber-16,-2010.html

1630 lives!!! granted, she hasn't moved under her own power yet, but she's got a fire in her belly again. She now joins Strasburg 90 and doubles the number of operational ten-couples in the US (though someone is going to come along and tell me i'm wrong)

This is great news, and its great to see the old Russkie back alive (pardon the pun). One of these days i'll have to journey to Union and see her. She's beautiful, in my opinion, and it will be great to see her pulling her train again (though the milk car they'll be using as her water car somewhat marrs the look of her usual consist...just love that LCL boxcar)

until then, three cheers for the living Russian Decapod!!

Yep. I've heard that they are doing all they can for her. I'll have to ask my volunteer friends how she's coming. I thought I heard a catch at one point, but I'll have to ask about that too.

I almost had a chance to go into her cab once. But, as I've been told, it was slightly intimidating to three-year-old me. :(
