It looks like im going to Fostoria sometime this week when I find time, the last two times I have been there it has been very slow, or there has been no traffic at all Does anyone know what Track is the busiest, and when Fostoria is busiest, What time of day?
If you set up in or near the iron triangle you are bound to see something.
During the week seems to be busier. I am not sure how much traffic the NS route gets as I normally do not railfan along it. CSX (ex C&O (Fostoria to Walbridge)) seems to really start picking up after about 3 PM and goes through out the night. CSX (ex B&O(east to west)) seems to start running hotshots in the late evening (5PM+) I have heard there are a lot of hotshots run in the morning but I haven't been along the lines in the morning.
Fostoria may get more traffic but I enjoy Deshler more. I like the nice park they have and it seems safer.

There are maps for Fostoria and Deshler available. You can study the traffic patterns and make a good call as to when it would be the best time.
