Does anyone know exactly how it works?
Does ignoring mean I can't see the ignored person's posts? Or, can that person I'm ignoring see my posts on the forum?

I use this for a particularly annoying and rude member. It works as advertised.

You click on the user you want to ignore and then click on Ignore. The user is added to a blacklist in your account.
Once added, any posts by that member have an orange-colored bar where his/her post would be. You have the option to view the post if you wish.

FYI, I never view his content! ;)

Hover the mouse over the username and when the dialog pops up then click on ignore. You won't see any threads they start and unless someone quotes from their posts you never see their posts.

You can have 1000 people in your ignore list total.
