Yes we can use this Firefox tool. But why, what is wrong with this very good looking
I must say this; forum has three basic functions, read, write and search. All three are not good anymore, first two because the choice of font and background is not good and third because alot of threads is lost. And this third is for me the most important. Very useful was Preview too.

If you mean Preview Post, it's still there, you have to click on 'Go Advanced' when replying to a post.

I must only have it mildly. This wasn't a big change at all, and I still have Aspergers too.
But the Social side of things is hard, that's why I retreat to Trainz so often!

I am probably one of the oldest members, if not the oldest, I wear spectacles for reading and computing and I find no problems at all. There is adequate contrast with the blue lettering.
I like the change except for the missing time-line. I suggest that people who find it blinding may have their monitor brightness turned up too high.

(Background) color is only one readability problem of the new forum. A second problem is: The outer margins in the old forum where wider, such making the visible forum-window less wide. This made the lines shorter = readerfriendly: Eyes could at the end of the line easily find back to the beginning of the next line. As a rule for printing books, journals, newspapers I once learned that a line should not contain much over 70 letters to be readerfriendly. On my small laptop-screen the lines of this new forum show about 110 letters - it might be even more for those trainzers who use a big desktop-screen. Check yourself when reading this: How often had your eyes to restart reading because you lost the line you were reading? What could be done? A little help might be to make the letters "heavier" (thicker, bigger). But more effective: To limit the width of the whole forum-frame. Just to make a test: Here you read the the new forum style. What is easier to read: This or the below identical text which I formated into a 700-pixel wide table? (lettersize and -type not changed)

Ctrl+roll mouse wheel can help.
That way you can quickly increase the font size, thus increasing the amount of darker lettering on screen which then relatively reduces the amount of brighter background. Not perfect, but helps a bit with the brightness issue pending any fix.
It will also reduce the number of visible words in the frame in direct proportion to the amount of size increase, making it easier to read consecutive lines.
You can use the same method to speedily reduce the image; not much use for text, but great for reducing oversized screenshots.
